Linda & Ian have been running the ‘Tudor Rose’ for over thirty years. We recognise the trends of modern cuisine and have tried to adapt our menu while still keeping to our principle of producing delicious, value for money, homemade food, suitable for all the family’.

The Tudor Rose has grown ever popular by serving traditional English food all of which we make from quality locally sourced produce.

Fresh bread is baked on the premises daily providing a perfect accompaniment to our many varied soups, and Ploughman’s Lunches.

We offer a wide choice of breakfast options, including scrambled & poached eggs to compliment the more traditional fried variety, using only free range eggs from a local farm.

      

Our ‘Eggs Benedict’ make a perfect start to the day, toasted muffins topped with locally sourced ham, poached eggs & delicious hollandaise sauce finished off with a sprinkling of parsley.    

To accompany our varied Main Lunch choices we serve many homemade desserts:

Winter sees our home made ‘Ginger Marmalade Pudding’ as a firm favourite, during the summer months our 'Red Fruit Meringue' is a definite must try. These are just some of the many home made favourites on offer.

We also serve Cappuccino, Espresso & Latte for the serious coffee drinker, to go alongside our speciality tea menu encompassing over a dozen varieties and flavours.

To truly enjoy what we serve,  you need to enjoy the warm & traditional atmosphere of this establishment. A tearoom has stood on this site for over a hundred years.  The building itself dates back to the 1800s, when the whole premises was owned by another family ‘the Mills’ who had their Teashop & Bakery here.
